Armin A. Preiksaitis, B.E.S., A.C.P., M.C.I.P. - Principal
Armin Preiksaitis has 30 years of experience as a professional planner and consultant in the private, public and non-profit sectors. This includes employment with the City of Edmonton Planning & Development Department, City of Edmonton Engineering & Transportation Department, Alberta Municipal Affairs and the Edmonton Downtown Development Corporation. He has been a full member of the Canadian Institute of Planners since 1975. Since establishing his consulting firm in 1996, Armin has successfully managed a broad range of land use planning and development projects for municipalities and developers throughout Alberta. He has also overseen numerous pre-development studies and public consultation programs.
Armin's unique background has also given him considerable knowledge in the areas of economic development, public/private partnerships and development financing strategies. Since 1998, he has instructed Introduction to Municipal Economic Development at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Extension. He currently serves as a director of the Community Planning Association and is a past director of the Washington-based International Downtown Association. Noted for his expertise in urban revitalization, Armin often speaks to professional groups and has been frequently quoted in the media. His work has received numerous awards and citations.
